Apples vs. Oranges

hr

CleanPetroleum™ and XPetroleum™ – both proprietary XFuels brand names – refer to advanced biohydrocarbons, generically known as synthetic or biopetroleum. Biohydrocarbons are similar to conventional hydrocarbon fuels, such as gasoline or diesel, but are produced from biomass feedstocks, such as agricultural waste, woody biomass or algae (as well as other waste carbon materials), through a variety of biological and chemical processes.

Advanced biohydrocarbons are considered a "drop-in" fuel, because their use does not require significant modifications to existing fuel distribution infrastructure or vehicle engine modifications for gasoline or diesel-powered vehicles. Similarly, the energy content of advanced biohydrocarbons is equivalent to that of their petroleum-based counterparts (i.e., gasoline and diesel).

XPetroleum™ should never be confused with more problematic, but popular, Biofuel types such as ethanol and biodiesel. Both ethanol and biodiesel suffer from the fact that – unlike XPetroleum™ – they are not easily integrated with the petrofuels distribution system.

The XRefinery™ system produces a true "petroleum replacement," at a cost competitive with, (and cleaner than), traditional fossil fuel. XPetroleum™ fuels have the same molecular composition as traditional petro-fuels, and offer premium performance with near-zero environmental footprint.

Apples & Oranges

Comparing regular "Biofuels" (like Ethanol & Biodiesel) to XPetroleum™,
is like comparing Apples to Oranges - they are not the same.
